Casa das Laranjeiras is a three bedroom villa near Loulé. As the name suggests, the villa sits adjacent to an orange grove but also benefits from several terraces, designed to make the most of its peaceful rural location with distant sea views. Recently refurnished Casa das Laranjeiras is all on one level with terracotta tiled floors and wooden shutters on all the windows. Accommodation consists of two double bedrooms sharing one bathroom. One of these bedrooms opens directly onto the garden. There is a twin bedroomed suite with shower room. All the bedrooms have ceiling fans The sitting room opens up onto a covered terrace and lawned garden. There is an open fireplace in the sitting room and central heating throughout. It is further equipped with satellite television and DVD player. The kitchen is spacious and well-equipped and has a dishwasher and microwave amongst its appliances. There is a separate larder and laundry room. The kitchen opens onto a covered terrace for dining outdoors and barbeque area. There is a small lawned area at the front of the property, terraced Mediterranean garden with olive trees and a second barbeque terrace at the rear. The pool is 10x4.90 metres with roman steps. There is maid service six days a week and the villa also has a telephone and wireless broadband. On request, the villa guests have use of a private tennis court which is close by, golf nets, sauna/shower room and gym equipment. The Algarve is renowned for its golden sandy beaches and championship golf courses with year round playing, many of which are within a short drive of the property. But this part of Portugal is also known for its pretty countryside and nature walks, sleepy white washed villages with friendly locals, and reasonably priced restaurants and bars. There several places of interest to visit nearby such as the quaint village of Alte, the Baroque palace of Estoi, and the market town of Loulé – great buys from Portuguese markets include dried fruits and nuts, marzipan cakes, pottery, leather goods and kitchen/household items in brass, copper and pewter. The Spanish border and Seville are also only a short driving distance away and well worth a visit. Situated within five minutes walk is Quinta da Caiada, a three bedroom villa which is also available to rent, making it ideal for either a large group or two families wanting to holiday together, yet retain some independence. | ||||||
