The gite has been carefully converted from a former barn and retains all its original character whilst offering every modern convenience. The gite is situated next to the house yet with its own secluded area, including a barbeque area and parking space. Breakfast on the balcony overlooking the orchard with its cherry, pear and apple trees, is the perfect way to start your day. With its open log fire and electrical central heating the gite is perfect for winter lets.

Clean sheets, bedding and towels once a week are included in the price.

\'Belle Vallee is situated five minutes away from the medieval town of Domfront, with its historic castle, shops, restaurants and street cafes. The castle was fought over for many years by the French and English and now provides a dramatic vantage point over the surrounding countrside.

There is so much to do in this region of Normandy. The magical Mont St Michel, the second most visited attraction in France. The landing beaches of the Normandy invasion provide a moving tribute to the allied soldiers who died liberating France. There are many poignant memorials and museums along the coastline. Just inland from the landing beaches is the town of Bayeux with its famed tapestry to the Norman invasion of Britain and the Notre Dame Cathedral. The elegant seaside resorts of Deaville, Trouville and Granville provide a perfect day out at the seaside. Nearer to Domfront is the spa town of Bagnoles-de-l\'Orne, renown for its legendary healing waters. A wonderful day out with its large lake, shops, spa stations and casino. For the real flavour of Normandy visit one of the local cider presses and sample the local tipple.

For the more energetic there is much to do in the region. You can try the golf course at Clecy, horse riding in the large regional park (Belle Vallee has two boxes available for rent) or even bungee jumping at Cleacy! The horse racing at Bagnoles-de-l\'Orne is always popular with locals and visitors. The region of the Orne features over 4,000 kilometres of walking paths and has many dedicated cycle tracks. Hot air ballooning, mountaineering, fishing, sailing, swimming and water sports are just some of the many activities that you can take part in during your stay in this fabulous part of France.
