We are at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, with palm tree entrance.
the apartment is modern and fully-furnished. The bedroom has two single beds, with ample storage space in the built-in wardrobes.
The large L-shaped lounge includes two settees converting to two excellent double beds for up to four extra people. Lounge table seats 6. TV, dvd player and film library selection, radio/CD player.
The fitted kitchen has instant gas hot water, cooker, large fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine etc.
The large balcony has sea views with the sun on it all day. You can sit or recline over a drink and keep cool around the table with its large sun-brolly.
We have a completely new bathroom, with shower, bidet, sink and toilet.
The Reception office and semi-Olympic pool, just two minutes from the apartment, will help you with any request including taxis, car hire, trips, cleaning, etc. Have a very cheap drink and food here and join all the locals in the evening.

The private semi-Olympic swimming pool is the largest in the area and has its own cafe/bar. It is never crowded (perhaps in August).
On the other side of the main road, 500 yards from the apartment, you can see the hills and countryside. Take a drive up there and be transformed. Just five minutes away there is the Ria Formosa wildlife bird sanctuary with beautiful walks.

Behind our apartment is a sandy beach, just 500 yards, is unspoilt and never busy. It is mainly used by the local fishermen in the early morning. Just opposite is the island of Armona - take a five-minute boat trip from Olhao and visit it.

Local Area Information:

Aldeia de Marim is in total contrast to the west tourist side of the Algarve. Marim is a small, quiet development of low-level apartments, mainly second homes owned by the Portuguese, in typical Portuguese style. It is about five minutes by car from the main town of Olhao which is a coastal fishing town, with dozens of cafes and restaurants and you'll be eating with the locals at locals prices. It has a great outdoor market on Saturdays.

Marim is only twenty minutes from Faro Airport. Being on the east side of the Algarve, it is unspoilt by over-development and high-rise buildings and is still mainly free from `tourists`.

If you want to visit other beaches, just 7 minutes down the main road is Fuzeta. You can take a 5 minute boat trip over to the local island of Armona and have fresh barbequed fish, potatoes, salad and wine - for under £5.00. It's much better value than most of West Algarve!
