We found the cottage easily, a good idea having a safe for the key - we did lock ourselves out once! Well-eqipped kitchen with tea, coffee, sugar already there. Good size lounge and bedrooms. Low doorways could be a hazard! The Sough was of great interest, particularly after the heavy rains! Cromford a great centre for historical interest. A good centre for the southern Peak district and all it has to offer.

Tinsmiths Cottage is an absolute gem.Full of character and traditional charm. It has everything you'll ever need, from eggcups and a washing line to a library of DVDs and books. Clean, comfortable and cosy. Close to the required: pub, papershop, grocers and chemist. Locals very friendly, couldn't have been made more welcome. Plenty to do by foot or further afield by car for all ages. Short walk to Gullivers Kingdom, close enough for a 4 year old to walk there and back without a 'carry'. It has it all. Can't bank on the weather but was fab even in the rain ! Definately would recommend a visit. Can't wait to go back - without the kids !

Located in an interesting and well located town, we found the cottage well equipped, clean and peaceful. The spacious lounge, decent telly and Hi Fi system, plus a good selection of DVD's provides well for rainy days (which we didn't experience) or simply quality time with one another! Bathroom is located a little way from the bedrooms and hence necessitates a degree of nocturnal debate before the inevitable early morning excursion in order to find 'relief'. Overall a great cottage. A bit different but good fun.
